What some students studying French at the Alliance Française of Madras have to say:
Meenu (Level 1)
“The Alliance Française of Madras is a beautiful place with a superb ambiance and I think that it is the best place to learn French. I came to the Alliance Française with some other hostel friends .The classrooms here are comfortable, there is a well equipped library, a canteen with delicious snacks, cakes and biscuits. The teachers are excellent. The small garden at the back, the amphitheater and the big parking area are places where we meet before and after our classes. We see films and plays in the auditorium. Here we can learn both language and culture at the same time.”
Lavanya (Level 1)
“I began learning French as I wanted to know another foreign language and culture. The Alliance Française in Chennai is the ideal place because it is so lively and animated. The method is interesting and the learning materials are also useful. AF has a big attraction: the Canteen. And the delicious cakes, I do not know French well enough to describe the quality of the cakes…”
Mahalalakshmi (Level 2)
When I am free, I love spending a lot of time in the AF library because there is a separate space for children. The small table with small chairs is very attractive. It is a comfortable place. There is a television with a DVD player exclusively for this area. There is also a mattress with a lot of toys. I love playing with a soft toy dog. After playing for some time, I start reading simple novels to improve my French.
