Frequently asked questions regarding DELF/DALF exam sessions 

 

  1. How to apply for DELF/DALF (where to get reg. form, where/how to pay etc.,) ?
  • The application form is available at our reception and on our website, during the registration period. 
  • Requirements: 2 passport size photos, one original photo ID proof (recent), exam fee and filled in application form.
  • Registration possible in person or if documents are couriered to us.
  • Fee can be paid online or in person, via a card or in cash

 

2. How to get information / updates on DELF/DALF sessions? 

  • Information for the year is published on our website, at the beginning of the year
  • It is published on our student platform, My Alliance and a notification is sent to students
  • Updates also available on all our social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook etc

 

3. Is the fee given on the website inclusive of tax? 

The fee given on the website is excluding GST. An additional 18% will apply, with regards to the taxes.

 

4. Could we use previous session’s application form for the current session?

Please use the current form pertinent to the upcoming session

 

5. What to bring/not to bring on the day of examination (smartphones/watches etc.,)?

  • Smart watches, phones are not allowed inside the exam hall
  • Please bring necessities for an exam like pens, stationary, water bottle etc.

 

6. Has the exam pattern/format changed? 

More multiple choice questions are being introduced by France Education International, instead of open ended question. This update is expected to happen over several months. FEI sets the question paper; and so we will not be able to confirm the pattern in advance.

 

7. When will the results be published? If published, where to check? When will we get the certificates?

The results will be published approximately one month after the exams, on our website as well as in our premises. The original certificates issued by FEI will be available in about 4 months. Candidates will receive email confirmations both when the results are published and when the certificates are made available.

 

8. I have already written a specific DELF exam and I have cleared. Would I be able to write again to score more?

Yes, candidates can reapply for an exam already cleared.

 

9. I have not cleared the exam. How to obtain my marks in each category? 

You will not be able to receive a mark sheet, but to know the marks you may send an email to [email protected]

 

10. What is the value of the certificate I get? 

The exams levels are as per the CEFR course structure. The certificate issued by FEI under the French Ministry of Education is recognized worldwide and has lifetime validity.

 

11. Is food available at/near the centre? Accommodation?

A canteen is available within the campus that only offers snacks and refreshments. Candidates need to organize food or accommodation by themselves.

 

12. Is there a waiting area for those accompanying the students?

Yes, the open atrium or other public spaces within the premises are designated waiting areas.
