For the first time, pianist Anil Srinivasan uses a multimedia narrative alongside his well-known piano playing to create a unique concept performance. He will be interacting with the moving image, and his concert will feature multiple genres – from the classical to Kollywood in an effort to bring out the piano’s versatility.
Anil’s essays with the classical world of both the North and the South are well documented. In recent times, he has worked with blues guitarist Randy Bernsen, hiphop project “Airdit” and of course his own solo works across the globe which have been praised for their uniqueness and their connectivity with varied audiences.
TOUCH is a culmination of his journeys with the piano, and as such draws upon varied influences.
The concept will travel to the UK in the end of July, before touring the rest of India later in September.
