AF Madras is the only institution that is authorized by the French embassy in India to attest translations in all of Tamil Nadu.
The Translation Cell of the Alliance Française of Madras has been offering quality translation from French-English/Hindi/Tamil and vice versa, and interpretation services for over 2 decades.
Listed below are our basic prices for different types of documents (note: we are required to charge an additional service tax at 18%).

Working hours:
Monday to Friday: 9.30 am – 12.30 pm
Please note that the Translation Cell will accept new documents only between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on working days. If you have submitted a document previously, you will receive the translation between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. on working days, within the deadline given to you by the Translation Cell.
Please note that if you send us a document after 12.30 p.m. we may not be able to respond until 9.30 a.m. on the next working day, unless your translation request is marked “URGENT”. This will be processed on an urgent basis, with the standard urgency fee of 75%.
