LibraryFest 2021 – French New Wave in cinema

French Kaleidoscope: A series of webinars to enrich general knowledge and to discover French arts, by expert guests who are passionate about their subjects. Each session will focus on a specific topic, from gastronomy to photography, including theater and French music.

French New Wave in Cinema | A talk by M. Chandrika V. Unni | in English

M. Chandrika V. Unni, who spent a major part of her career teaching French at the Alliance Française, Chennai and Pachaiyappa’s College under Madras University. She obtained her post graduate degree in French from University of Madras encouraged her to pursue doctorate in that language. A course on film appreciation from the prestigious national film and television Institute on India, Pune led her to the doorsteps of award winning film personalities like Aravindan, Adoor Gopalakrishanan and a host of other film writers and person who were a part of the Navatharangam in Kerala. M. Chandrika V Unni’s novel SIGNS & SIGNATURES OF NEW WAVE FILMS is addressed to the curious, to the passionate and to students of cinema who will be future filmmakers.
