RDV Mensuel January 2015 siteDal, sambar, dosa, paratha, chicken tikka, gulab jamun… Steak-and-chips, camembert, baguette, cassoulet, éclairs with coffee: if there’s one thing that France and India definitely have in common it is the dizzying variety in their cuisine. And like the French, Indians are also known for their love of food! Nonetheless, food habits and culinary traditions from both countries are poles apart. On the one hand you have spiced food, often vegetarian, accompanied by rice. On the other hand, meat with different sauces, cheeses – and some unusual dishes! What we eat reveals a lot about our way of life. What aspects of French or Indian food are most fascinating? The most baffling? What kind of diets are the best for a healthy body and mind? If you love food (whether eating it or making it) come share your views and passions with fellow foodies at the next Rendez-vous mensuel!
