1961. The German Jewish philosopher, Hannah Arendt, is sent to Jerusalem by the New Yorker to cover the trial of Adolf Eichmann, the man who oversaw the deportation of millions of Jews. The articles that she published, and her theory of the ‘banality of evil’ sets off an unprecedented controversy. Her obstination and her clearness of thinking clashes with the incomprehension of those around her, leading to her becoming more and more isolated.
