Pianos for Peace
For the first time in India, three pianists representing three different streams of music – Indian Contemporary, Jazz and Western Classical music combine and perform. Anil Srinivasan, Sharik Hasan and Alexandra Minoza will take part in a special three-way combination concert that seeks to represent unity through music. Each of the performers is very well known in their own fields, and interestingly, represent very varied ethnic and cultural identities.
The concert marks the grand finale of the World Music Week (Fete De La Musique), a week-long celebration of music in public places and classrooms organized by several leading cultural missions in the city.
