Pianist, composer, arranger and musical director, Christophe Chassol is the author of an unclassifiable oeuvre. His compositions articulate sounds and images in an innovative way, with the concept of ‘harmonizing the real’ at the heart of his approach.
Improvising piano harmonies on the images of a film shot in Kolkata and Varanasi in July 2012, Chassol pays a breathtaking tribute to the hidden melodies of India. While the film crosses the lives of not only musicians, singers, dancers, but also taxi drivers, fishermen and children, the piano chords create unforeseen, almost magical musical encounters.
INDIAMORE was presented in India for the first time as part of the Bonjour India 2013 Festival. After a tremendous success in the country, the enthralling show was later presented in Paris and New York.
In 2014, Chassol is back to the sub-continent for an exceptional ten city tour.
